Stainless steel round bar can be supplied in a range of sizes and finishes with varying tolerances. Cold-finished stainless steel bar is usually supplied to meet the international standards of ASTM A276/A484 or A582/A484M.
Stainless steel rod is delivered with peel turned, burnished or rough machined surface, depending on the size. It can be supplied in random lengths or cut into fixed lengths.
Drawn: Drawn has a diameter tolerance of less than h9
Peeled and reeled: Peeled and reeled has a diameter tolerance less than h9 to less than h10
Smooth turned: Smooth turned has a diameter tolerance of less than h11 to more than h12
Ground: Ground has a diameter tolerance of less than 8 or less than h9.
