The 7075 aluminum alloy sheet

The 7075 aluminum alloy sheet is a cold forging alloy with high strength and far better than mild steel. 7075 is one of the most powerful commercial alloys. 7075 aluminum alloy is compact in structure and strong in corrosion resistance. It is the best for aviation and ship plate. Common corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties and anodic reaction. Fine grain makes deep drilling performance better and tool wear resistance enhanced.

The 7075 aluminum alloy sheet characteristics

1. high strength heat treatable alloy.

2. good mechanical properties.

3. good usability.

4. it is easy to process and wear resistance.

5. corrosion resistance and good oxidation resistance.

Zinc is the main alloy element in 7075. Adding magnesium to the alloy containing 3%-7.5% zinc can form MgZn2 with remarkable strengthening effect, which makes the heat treatment effect of the alloy far better than that of the Al-Zn binary alloy. Increase in alloy zinc and magnesium content, the tensile strength will be further improved, but its ability to resist stress corrosion and exfoliation corrosion resistance will be decreased. The heat treatment can achieve very high strength characteristics. 7075 materials are generally added with a small amount of copper, chromium and other alloys. Among them, 7075-T651 aluminum alloy is the most superior one. It is known as the best product of aluminum alloy, with high strength and far superior to any mild steel. The alloy has good mechanical and anodic reaction. Representatives include aerospace, die processing, machinery and equipment, tooling and fixture, especially for the manufacture of aircraft structures and other high-stress structures with high strength and corrosion resistance.
